Illustrative work puts a design with a story in it on the skin, the way a picture-book illustration does. There is no set form, so we start by talking about what you want it to hold.

It carries a story

It is not only the shape being carried over; a scene or a history goes in with it. That is why the same subject comes out differently for each person.

The treatment is open

It can go thin, as fine line, or carry black and grey shading.

It can be composed

Several elements can be gathered into one image. A frame makes it easier to hold together.

Size is yours to choose

Fewer elements makes it small; more makes it large.
